Cracked or Damaged iPad 3 Repair Service

We have been completing a number of iPad 3 repairs over the last few months and getting a chance to help lots of grateful customers. We were able to survive the recent Sandy storm and have been hard at work helping many people in the local areas of New York. iPad 3 repair is similar to the iPad 2 however there are some precautions we like to take to ensure a clean repair for our customers. The metal casing seems to be just as pliable as its predecessor, the Apple iPad 2, and giving way to dents and dings much like last version.
We have handled many issues with both the two and the three. The glass seems to be the most problematic as it tends to break with just about any type of fall. We do see a share of water damaged units coming in which is a much more extensive repair process. Luckily for us we have some highly qualified technicians that can help you even in extreme conditions.
Always remember to protect your device as best as you can. Use a case and don’t throw it against hard objects. We have many funny stories about cracked iPads and iPhones you don’t want to end up with one of them.
If your iPad does happen to break we are not far away. Devices can be mailed in or walked-in to our repair center.

Long Island's Most Trusted iPhone, iPad, and iPod Repair Center

Repair Sharks has been in the business of repairing iPhone's, iPod's, iPad's, Android smartphones, Xbox 360, PS3, and portable gaming systems since 2006. Our technicians are skilled engineers with years of electronics and computer experience.

Daniel Cieslak, owner of Repair Sharks has been repairing small electronics for over 20 years. His experience in the corporate technology arena with corporations such as Cablevision, TigerDirect, Symbol Technologies, and Motorola has helped Daniel develop a wide variety of skills which has played a vital role in his development of Repair Sharks.

"The idea of Repair Sharks started in my mothers basement in 2006. We were originally called the iPod Repair Guys and have since grown and expanded our services to offer many more types of repairs. As a former training designer my goal was to help build and further a new industry in the small device repair sector. Gone are the days of old style television and radio repair. Repairs are much different from those days and the electronics emerging today are much more advanced. I worked to build a foundation that could be expanded on as new devices were released and adapt to the quickly changing market trends. It's not easy keeping up with so many devices but by keeping our shop small and dynamic we can adapt to these changes quickly to allow for new devices to be added to our service repertoire quickly and with a high level of success all while keeping our services affordable.

It has been a tough few years, the competition in this sector is growing as we expected but our reputation, experience, and skill set are hard to beat at Repair Sharks. We say, we are often imitated but never duplicated and this seems to be the case almost every time. We see a decent influx of repairs from other small shops and do-it-yourselfers that think these repairs are easy to complete after watching a few YouTube videos. We have a bunch of popular videos on YouTube but the only true way to learn the correct techniques is to work in an R&D type of environment where you are constantly trying to find solutions to new and existing problems. It also seems to be the trend to try and replicate our processes. We get a regular stream of technicians trying to gain our inside knowledge as this is to be expected with the level of work we perform."

Zack one of Repair Sharks head technicians adds; "Repair Sharks offers its services to a global audience. We have seen iPods, iPhones, and iPads from just about every country in the world. It's great to be able to help people from all different walks of life. We have gotten iPods from remote areas of Alaska and the Hawaiian islands. It's pretty cool that people trust us with their important and personal items. We have a lot of pride in our work and treat every persons device like it was our own. We get so many great referrals from our customers it's nice to go home  and feel like I made an impact in someones life each day."

Repair Sharks home base is on Long Island in New York. We refer to ourselves as RS or the Sharks. We are located in an accessible area in Nassau County. Repair Sharks offers full mail in and drop off service for any of its offered repairs. We are a short drive from the Roosevelt Field mall and Westbury Source Mall on Old Country Rd.

Repair Sharks offers the first ever Fee diagnostics program as well as Free Return Shipping with any repair. We try to make things as simple as possible for our customers and include a no hassle warranty with every repair we perform.

What to do When your iPhone has Liquid or Water Damage

What to do when your iPhone gets water or liquid damaged.

There are a few simple things you can do when your iPhone 3, 3GS, 4, 4S, or iPhone 5 gets wet. The first thing many people try is to turn on the iPhone. This is a mistake and should be avoided at all costs. Turning on your device or attempting to power it up via a charging dock cable can and will cause additional damage to your phone.

  • Do NOT turn on your iPhone
  • Do Not plug your iPhone into a wall charger or dock cable connected to a computer
  • Place it into a bag of rice and leave it in the rice for a few days. It takes a good deal of time to fully remove the moisture from a tightly sealed device.
  • Bring it to Repair Sharks! We can open your iPhone and clean all the vital components. Water will corrode all the internal connections very easily. It is surprising to see just how fast the corrosion process starts. Powering up your device will speed up this process and can also short internal circuits. Repair Sharks can de-oxidize your internal connectors and motherboard protecting it from further damage.
Water damage in an iPhone can void your warranty. When this happens you are limited to what options you have for getting your phone working again.

Repair Sharks has helped thousands of customers. We offer water damage repair services for all versions of the Apple iPhone including the 3G, 3Gs, 4, 4s, and the iPhone 5. Keep your iPhone turned off until you can consult with a repair technician that can help you get your device working.

Feel free to visit our website. We offer Free Diagnostics of your water damaged Apple iPhone smartphone. Repair costs can vary significantly so it is important for a repair technician to see the extent of the damage in order to give you an accurate quote.

Finding the Best Long Island iPod, iPad, iPhone Repair Service

Repairing today’s cutting edge devices is a dynamic skill set that more closely relates to jewelry repair and dental work rather than the skills your local PC repair technician would have. The skills needed to handle such repairs are unique and require many years of training to learn. Many people attempt these repairs on their own thinking they can perform a task that took a professional years to master.  Books and videos are great sources of material but real world experience and on the job training generally provide the best resource for learning. Repairing the electronics of an iPhone or iPad can’t be learned over night. Many high level technicians spend years studying electronic components. The new methods of soldering and repairing boards are much different from the stuff we saw 20 years ago.

What solutions are out there for having your iPod, iPhone, or even iPad repaired?

We have seen many companies come and go when it comes to repair. Television repair services have either adapted or succumbed to the changes in technology. New companies have popped up and a new field of electronics has been emerging recently. This new field has also seen an influx of amateurs looking to get in on the action. Unfortunately this also means amateur work. It is important that when you are looking to have your expensive iPhone 4, 4S, iPad 2 or 3 repaired you should consider a few important factors.

Length of time in business – Due to all the changes in these devices the companies that have adapted and grown with the industry the longest will have the best experience levels. This usually leaves you with a handful of choices in the country so don’t always choose the first place you see. Working on a $800.00 phone can cost you dearly in the end if something goes wrong.

Experience of Technicians – Technicians should have adequate knowledge in the workings of electronics and electronic components. They should be able to use a variety of tools to complete their task. Many high level technicians have attended electronics and computer schooling to learn their skills.  Do they have references?

Business Reputation – Do they have repeat customers?  Did anyone recommend you? Are they honest and legitimate? It’s not hard to start a business these days, just about anyone with thirty dollars can do it.

Services – What type of services do they offer? Do they just handle a few devices or can they fix a variety of equipment?

Data Security – This is one of the most important factors and often overlooked. How do they handle your device? Are your documents and personal information safe with the company you are dealing with?

There are many factors into picking the best repair shop but in the end the decision is yours. Whatever repair solution you are looking for keep these tips on mind.
