Daniel Cieslak, owner of Repair Sharks has been repairing small electronics for over 20 years. His experience in the corporate technology arena with corporations such as Cablevision, TigerDirect, Symbol Technologies, and Motorola has helped Daniel develop a wide variety of skills which has played a vital role in his development of Repair Sharks.

"The idea of Repair Sharks started in my mothers basement in 2006. We were originally called the iPod Repair Guys and have since grown and expanded our services to offer many more types of repairs. As a former training designer my goal was to help build and further a new industry in the small device repair sector. Gone are the days of old style television and radio repair. Repairs are much different from those days and the electronics emerging today are much more advanced. I worked to build a foundation that could be expanded on as new devices were released and adapt to the quickly changing market trends. It's not easy keeping up with so many devices but by keeping our shop small and dynamic we can adapt to these changes quickly to allow for new devices to be added to our service repertoire quickly and with a high level of success all while keeping our services affordable.

It has been a tough few years, the competition in this sector is growing as we expected but our reputation, experience, and skill set are hard to beat at Repair Sharks. We say, we are often imitated but never duplicated and this seems to be the case almost every time. We see a decent influx of repairs from other small shops and do-it-yourselfers that think these repairs are easy to complete after watching a few YouTube videos. We have a bunch of popular videos on YouTube but the only true way to learn the correct techniques is to work in an R&D type of environment where you are constantly trying to find solutions to new and existing problems. It also seems to be the trend to try and replicate our processes. We get a regular stream of technicians trying to gain our inside knowledge as this is to be expected with the level of work we perform."
